After being fascinated by local rap battles, Kensa from Lucena immediately explored and got hooked on Hip-hop music. It didn’t take long before he decided to become an artist himself. He started out as an emcee and eventually branched out to beatmaking. He dropped a few beat tapes and produced for several projects and in 2017, he and fellow up-and-coming talent Soupherb released “Serenata”. The album tackles the concept of love in a more creative and unorthodox way. Kensa released his debut solo album “Strange Weather in Manila” on Uprising’s 10th-year anniversary event Full Tank, which took place on the 25th of November 2023. The record is a showcase of not only Kensa’s evolution as a brilliant songwriter but also as a versatile producer.
