From Silang, Cavite, Emar Industriya started out as an emcee who raps about his personal experiences in the streets. When he discovered spoken word, he decided to try it out and quickly got hooked on it. He then incorporated spoken word with his rapping, giving birth to a more enticing, unorthodox style. Emar’s debut album “Industriyalismo” dropped in 2016, and it’s a showcase of modern leftfield Pinoy hip-hop. His second solo LP “Alaala: Daan ng mga Tumakas” was released on the 25th of November 2023, during Uprising’s 10th-year anniversary celebration. Here, Emar explored even more complex topics and his unconventional rhymes continue to shine.
