The Ginoong Rodriguez and Underground Tape Vol 1 physicals are here!

For fans of physical copies, it’s time to add two more gems to your collection. First off is Batas’ critically-acclaimed solo album “Ginoong Rodriguez”. Uprising, in collaboration with Eikon Records Philippines, has just released the vinyl version. Apart from the nine thought-provoking tracks, the LP also includes additional inlay artwork with lyrics to every song. Originally released in December 2021, “Ginoong Rodriguez” sees Batas tackling personal and social themes while keeping his trademark hardcore, relentless style intact. He also went on a more experimental route with his beats, most of which feature scratches from DJ Arthug.

Speaking of DJ Arthug, for the tape collectors out there, he has just released his instrumental album “Underground Tape Vol 1” on cassette. The project consists of 12 tracks that showcase the DJ’s crunk and southern hip-hop-inspired sound. You will also be treated to some flawless sample flipping and of course, remarkable turnatablism display. “Underground Tape Vol 1” is perfect for cyphers, parties, or if you just want to sit back, relax, and enjoy dope beats.
